The Mind Of Man
मनुष्य का मन :
Question प्रश्न 59
What is the human mind?
मनुष्य का मन क्या है?
Answer उत्तर :
The mind of man (or for that matter any of all the living beings) is a close circuit network of information and the world from where the whole information is obtained, too is again a section only of this system / network.
But this is true only in the waking state, when the mind faces an outer world and assumes the form of the inner world of oneself.
While the inner world communicates with itself and the outer world is out of the perception of the mind, one another channel opens up that is the individual mind or the dream-world, where again the same pattern is repeated as was in the outer world. The two close circuit networks, one of the mind in the outer world in the waking state, and another, in the dream state are again two utterly unconnected virtual realities and the mind of man attend to either of the two only at a moment. The two are ever so disconnected than the mind can't stay in touch with both at the same time.
Still there is another phase of the human mind where only the sense of being and experiencing prevails and that state too is again a close circuit network in itself where the thread of this information is preserved in the mind.
This thread of information that prevails through and upon which is strung this information dominates the Whole Life of the individual.
These three states of mind, namely the waking, the dream and the deep sleep where there is neither the dream nor the world is perceived yet one is aware of the being and experiencing the bliss, joy and happiness of this state, themselves are three entirely independent and close circuit networks in comparison with the third.
The sense and the information / or the memory of being / existing is the very thread that is felt as the identity of the individual while the mind is awake, dreaming or just deep asleep without the awareness of the outer world is the state of dreaming. Strung on this pure state of being and experiencing where there is no object to be experienced and only either a state of perfect bliss unobstructed by either the outer world or the inner world of dream, the distinction between the one who experiences and the bliss and peace that is experienced are left no more.
Calling that Reality of being, bliss and knowing by a name whatsoever is just a superfluous and extraneous idea of the mind that brings back the individual to either of the three states of the mind as are enumerated above.
However, a classical approach to this may be found there in the :
